Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryum Nawaz on Monday approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) for bail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. A division bench headed by Justice Baqar Ali Najfi will hold the preliminary hearing on the bail petition today.

Maryum pleaded in the bail petition allegations in the reference against her of money laundering are baseless. Maryum claimed that she was being subjected to political victimization as NAB has not found single evidence against her. The petitioner therefore prayed to the court to allow her bail in the case.
